After copying the files, you need to reboot the device for the installation to take effect.


Configuring the USB Driver




After installing the USB driver, you need to configure some settings on the Dolphin 70e to enable the USB connection with the ring scanner. The configuration steps depend on the type of ring scanner you have.


Tethered Ring Scanner (8610 and 8620)




If you have a tethered ring scanner, you need to do the following:

You can configure various settings such as prefix, suffix, sound, and vibration. Press 'Start' to activate the tool.



  • You can now use the ring scanner to scan barcodes and send the data to any application on the device.




Bluetooth Ring Scanner (8650 and 8670)




If you have a Bluetooth ring scanner, you need to do the following:



  • Pair the ring scanner with the Dolphin 70e via Bluetooth settings. Refer to the user guide of the ring scanner for the pairing instructions.



  • Go to 'Start' > 'Power Tools' > 'NGW Settings Config'. This is a tool that allows you to rotate the display of the device according to your preference. You can choose between 'Portrait', 'Landscape', 'Portrait Inverted', and 'Landscape Inverted'. Select the option that suits your needs and press 'OK'. The device will reboot automatically after applying the changes.
